System requirements

• Window-XP & Office-XP automatically installs   "Mangal" or Arial Unicode MS as UTF Font all other characters. To view devnagri characters in word documents or in Notepad or Wordpad you must set your font to Arial Unicode MS.
   

•  Windows-98 - You have to install Unicode fonts. There are many UTF fonts available for free on Internet. One such site is  bbchindi.com which uses Unicode fonts for its Hindi content. Visit the bbchindi.com and  click  the link for "Hindi Font Download".

Keyboard Layout Settings

• If your keyboard layout is not set to English-US (EN-US) you will face problem in typing क्ष = k\Z  त्र = t\r   ज्ञ = j\Y  or any संयुक्ताक्षर .

• To check keyboard layout type Shift+3 or .

•  if  £ pound sign appears in place of # on page then your keyboard is not set to EN-US so set it EN-US. Moreover, Please see windows help for how to change layout of keyboard from EN_US to EN-US.

Keyboard Mapping Layout.

• It is phonetic based typing editor.

• Keyboard layout is same as other free available online editor like Chhahari Nepali Typewriter छहारी नेपाली/देवनागरी टाईपराइटर  or adapted from this  and available for free download Sampaditra Editor

Typing tips संयुक्‍ताक्षर

• Go to the UTF typewriter page Devote some time to type few characters. See the response in text box.

• Practice conjunct characters (संयुक्‍ताक्षर) like क्ष, त्र, ज्ञ, etc

क्ष = k\Z  त्र = t\r   ज्ञ = j\Y

kam = काम  k\ya = क्या vRd\Di = वृद्धि cij~ = चीज

•  Click preview to see how your articles appear.
   

•  Note that you can switch over from Devnagri / Hindi to Roman/English fonts and vice versa by choosing option given at bottom see next section.

Problem Areas - Line Break <br>

• For line break Type <br> in Roman or  click the line break button .

• Line Break Button act only at the end of current paragraph.

• You can cut-paste HTML tag for Table or Image insertion or for hyperlink.  You can check in preview mode how this tag appears.

Switch over from Roman to Devnagri

•  You can mix English and Bhojpuri in the same article. You can switch over from Devnagri / Hindi to Roman/English fonts and vice versa by choosing option as shown below.

• Click in Devnagri Option to type Devnagr/Hindi Fonts..

• Click in Roman Option to type English/Roman Fonts..

HTML Script supports.

• HTML tags are supported.

• Switch to Roman Option and type HTML tags like

• <b>text here</b> or bold character.

• <br> fro line break.

• <img src  = "image.name" > etc.

• You can simply cut n paste html content from any HTML editor in the text box and preview the content.

• switch over to devnagri option for typing in Devnagri.
